As a house of gathering, Temple Akiba has a sacred commitment to providing a nurturing home where individuals can become members of a loving synagogue family. Our congregation represents a tapestry of backgrounds and our outreach to Jews-By-Birth, Jews-By-Choice, Gays and Lesbians, Inter-faith and Inter-racial families is a testament to our vision of inclusion. And so, in addition to ritual and educational programs, Temple Akiba offers many additional opportunities for people to gather. Our havurah program encourages members to find lasting friendships. Our adult and family retreats invite participants to explore themselves, our community and ultimately the divine thread that connects us. And our many social events throughout the year fill our building with light, laughter and community spirit.
